Ghirardelli Chocolate

We visited my favorite Aunt (I call her Ate 'coz she's like 2 or 3 years older than me. She's my Dad's cousin, not my Dad's sister) and her wonderful husband at the Disney World Wilderness Lodge. They are from New York and they are here in Florida for their honeymoon. Too bad I forgot to bring our camera, that's why I wasn't able to take pictures with her and the hotel too. It's like being in a very huge log cabin and the place is a good spot to relax. We had to drive almost 45 minutes to get there though, so we can always opt to relax at home.

When we left, my Aunt gave me this piece of chocolate 'coz she knows I love chocolates. haha! I even told her, give me a cheap piece of chocolate, I will still eat it as long as it's chocolate! I think I had too much of this though 'coz my throat hurts a little right now. I ran out of mineral water, so I was drinking like a bird. I did brush my teeth after going to bed, but I think the chocolate just coated my throat. ouch.

It's the first time I had a taste of the Ghirardelli chocolate I usually have snickers with almonds. Yeah, I don't go for the high end chocolates 'coz the price makes me want to leave it in its box. The one I got last friday is a mix of milk chocolate and dark chocolate. The milk chocolate is on the top and dark at the bottom. Once I had a bite, I couldn't stop eating the rest. So this was gone in a split second. I never said I am on a diet this week. Compared to Cadbury, Ghirardelli duet chocolate tastes a little less creamy. But hey, it's still chocolate, so I am NEVER complaining! :)

Not a big fan of SOME Ghirardelli chocolates because they are kinda' waxy for me. But their dark variety is good. ;-)

I'm not so evil after all

" I never got the chance to be your trainee, but I heard a lot of good things about you Ms. Dee." Reading this post from someone I barely even know made my heart flutter. I know that I have been totally brutal with my trainees when I was still working as a trainer back home 'coz I want them to be excellent in their field. I know I was hated by many 'coz I don't know how to kiss people's asses. I even almost got in trouble with our big boss when I was only passing a few people during interviews. A lot of people were mad at me 'coz of my unbelievable standards. A lot of times it did affect me and all I wanted was to please everyone, but I was also pushed by my one of my supervisors not to lower my standards. I got reprimanded for passing a few people during interviews by our big boss, and I got reprimanded by my direct supervisor for passing a lot of trainees during my class. I was totally confused when I was starting up in my new field. But time, experience...

Random post before I hit the sack

I'm sorry if I haven't been writing for a long time. My work schedule is just out of whack and when it's my day off from work, I want to do nothing but relax.  It's already the holiday season and I haven't done any holiday shopping yet - but I'm already broke. lol! I only got stuff for my family in the Philippines which I will send through the balikbayan (care) box. I have learned that I should start shopping for stuff to put inside the box starting January. Getting stuff all at once is what caused a huge dent to my savings. It's fun shopping for my folks back home, especially when I know opening the box and seeing the simple stuff I gave them will make them happy. I'm hoping to send it before the end of December so it will get to the Philippines before April.  Happy holidays everyone! :)

Mr. Crabs

I am selectively listening to Blood Hound Gang's Uhn tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss almost the whole day. I say selectively, 'coz the lyrics is not really something you would be proud to share to everyone. But the beat is catchy and it triggers my happy brain neurons and makes me want to talk about....king crab legs. Yes, the king crab legs I had last Friday. I love crabs especially if it's cooked in coconut milk. My mom used to cook one whole pot for me everytime I visit Bukidnon. It's such a treat 'coz the Davao-Bukidnon trip takes around 4 hours, so going home to hot rice and a pot of crabs cooked in coconut milk is like being in heaven. It makes me forget how sucky my trip was and just makes me thank my mom for cooking my favorite food. But gone were those days when I just tell my mom I want crabs, 'coz here the crabs are very expensive! They don't have the wet market we have in Valencia that sells crabs for 240php per kilo. The cheapest is 8.99 USD per lb here....
