Viva, Las Vegas!

I'm on a vacation, that's why I haven't updated my blog lately. Most of my friends know that I got married in March and the hubs and I never had any celebration after our wedding, so we decided to have our late honeymoon in October. I thought it will never happen 'coz I just got a job last month and usually they don't give you any time off from work. Miraculously, they never gave me a hard time and approved my request right away. I was overjoyed! A week in Vegas, yeah! We arrived in Vegas last Wednesday via Chicago. We were supposed to meet my Aunt (my mom's sister) and her family in Chicago, but we only changed gates and never left the terminal, so it was impossible to see them with the limited time we have at the airport. It was so unfortunate 'coz I wanted them to meet Tim and give them a hug, since I haven't seen my Uncle for more than 10 years and I only saw my Aunt and my cousin when I arrived in Chicago last January. Easy recipe: Beef Stroganoff

I found this dish on a blog that has awesome Filipino and international recipes that are made easy. The author of this blog is Dennis Glorioso and the recipes he has there are easy to follow. Here's the link to his blog  http://mgalutonidennis.blogspot.com/ . I usually look at the recipes there for inspiration, but I haven't really cooked any of the recipes posted 'coz I was too scared to try. I know the recipes are very easy to follow, but I'm a novice to cooking and I am not sure if I will be able to follow the steps posted there. But tonight, with the push from my husband, I tried a new dish which is the beef stroganoff. Here are the ingredients I used tonight: 1lb sirloin steak cut into strips mushrooms, sliced 1/2 sweet onion ('coz I got the huge onion at the store) 4 cloves of garlic, minced 1 can cream of mushroom 2 tbps of fat free sour cream salt and pepper to taste Pasta I followed the steps from Mr. Dennis' beef stroganoff recipe ( click

Little things I got after getting my first paycheck

It was payday last Thursday and it was my day off yesterday, so I got the chance to shop for stuff I want. *winks* I feel good seeing my paycheck 'coz I know it's money I worked so hard for. At least I won't have to give my hubs a headache everytime I want to buy something. Since it's my first paycheck, I bought stuff that aren't really expensive. I don't have a car yet, so I didn't have the chance to go the mall and pick out some stuff. I wanted to buy shoes and a cute purse, but that has to wait. We have bills to pay, so I can't just use all my paycheck on things I just want. But getting these simple things yesterday made me feel happy inside. 'Coz I was able to buy it with my own hard earned money. I'm not allergic to Maybelline, so I got these stuff I need Here are the rest of the stuff I got: Sponge applicators for my foundation, facial wash, eyeliner, concealer, mascara, lip balm, lipstick, face powder, nail polish, and blush Add
